Just as spoken languages have sign languages also have a poetic form. Hand positions, movements, unique transitions, but also the rythm and cadance of the recitation turn a text in sign language into a poetic text, a ballet of hands. Two sign language poets, Wim Emmerik and Giselle Meyer, present their poems in several beautiful films, made by Anja Hiddinga and Leendert Pot. The literary translation into Dutch is by Erik Bindervoet and Robert-Jan Henkes. Dutch spoken.
