Film: Writers' portraits from Indonesia
Three film portraits of well-known Indonesian writers: Agam Wispi, who recently died in the Netherlands, where he spent years in exile. Pramoedya Ananta Toer and Putu Oka Sukanta spent a the greater part of their lives in prison. The writers' documentaries are part of a series called 'On the record', produced by the Lontar Foundation in Jakarta and directed by Tinu Yampolsky (80 min, English subtitles, Jakarta 2003).
