On Thursday 16 June and Friday 17 June, Winternachten festival decamped to PAARD, which transformed into a paradise for lovers of literature, poetry and music! You got inspired by the fantastic line-up of the festival's summer edition. Wandered through the halls, joined a table in the café, ordered a drink and came to listen. Whichever event you chose, during this summertime Winternachten you were treated to literary surprises, musical highlights and intimate readings.

A selection from the Thursday night program: an interview with Rachel Cusk (by Niña Weijers), a packed stage of spoken word in collaboration with WWZ (with Derek Otte, Amara van der Elst, Aafke Romeijn et al.); a feminist poetry event (with Ronelda S. Kamfer (online) et al.); a literary discussion about women and flesh (with Roanne van Voorst and Agustina Bazterrica et al.); science fiction revisited (with Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah et al.); a brand-new, live-recorded edition of the Fixdit podcast; and the favourite "homecoming" books of your favourite authors.
