A film, introduced by Ronald Giphart, the author of the book Phileine zegt sorry, on which the film is based. It is a romatic comedy, directed by Robert Jan Westdijk. In this film 'power babe' Phileine (played by Kim van Kooten) follows her boyfriend Max (played by Michiel Huisman) to New York. Max is an actor and has got a part in the international performance of the ultimate love story Romeo and Juliet. Phileine suspects that Max is more interested in his co-star Joanne than in her. The impudent Phileine refuses to accept that. Out of jealousy Phileine throws herself into the arms of Joanne's boyfriend and then disrupts the show, which puts her in the limelight. However, this newly achieved fame does not bring her the happiness she hopes for: because Max has found out that Phileine has been unfaithful to him and will have nothing to do with her. Later they meet one another at a gala night in New York. The film was shot in the Netherlands and in New York.
