Murat Tuncel

was born in Kars, in the northeast of Turkey and has lived in the Netherlands for twenty years. He studied to be a primary school teacher and after that studied to become a Turkish teacher. Murat taught a number of years in secondary education in Turkey and worked as a journalist for various newspapers and magazines. He wrote collections of short stories, novels and children's books. Three of his works were awarded literary prizes in Turkey. His novel Maviydi Adalet Sarayı was published in 2003 in Dutch by 3C publishers in Arnhem under the title False Hope. His latest novel, Inanna is a great success in Turkey. In Extaze 1 Tuncel made his debut as a writer in Dutch. During Writers Unlimited Tuncel will read in Dutch. Also a debut therefore.
