Elisabeth van Nimwegen
(1976) made her debut at the close of 2013 with the novella De smaak van ijzer (The taste of iron) about the loss of a friendship between two women who met at the Maastricht Drama School. When one of them goes on to do the actors' class and the other one has to leave their symbiotic bond is under pressure. Against the drama school background Van Nimwegen deals with themes such as friendship, art, eroticism and loss of identity. Van Nimwegen studied at did this drama school herself and worked for VARA as a presenter and editor. She has written scripts and taught at a youth theatre school. She played with various theatre groups, among others Toneelgroep De Appel, Toneelgroep Oostpool and Jeugdtheatergezelschap Het Laagland and did some other smaller but experimental productions, among others with theatre group 101Punt. For television she made guest appearances in De Troon, Annie M.G., Verborgen Gebreken and Deadline.
