The word and image culture was the central theme of the tenth edition of Winternachten. During a long weekend in The Hague more than seventy authors, poets, musicians and performers participated in a diverse programme on the theme 'word versus image'. The artists came from Surinam, Aruba, Curaçao, Indonesia, South-Africa, the Netherlands, Malaysia and - as part of a special programme - Turkey.
For the first time Winternachten organised a two-day international writers' conference, on the theme of this festival. You can download the report in English here as a PDF.
