The board of Writers Unlimited has chosen Ellen Walraven as the new (Artistic) Director of Writers Unlimited. She succeeds Ton van de Langkruis, who departed after 25 years on 1 April 2020.

On the closing day of the 25th Winternachten International Literature Festival The Hague, Sunday 19 January 2020, Alderman Robert van Asten presented the Hague literary awards during the Schrijversfeest in Theater aan het Spui. Stefan Hertmans received the Constantijn Huygens Prize. In the Spot on Young Poets final, the Jonge Campert Prize for the best student poet went to Stian Olesen, a fourteen-year-old pupil of De Vrije School Den Haag.

On 1 April 2020 Ton van de Langkruis will leave as director of Writers Unlimited, the foundation that organises the Winternachten international literature festival and monthly literary evenings in The Hague.
